Nice weather this morning, and Terry and I headed back to Raleigh-Durham. I went to another brunch place and had tiramisu french toast and bacon (yum), and then went for a walk. It was warmer, the winds weren't as bad, the sun was shining, and I could use the exercise. It was all good.
We also left a lot earlier than yesterday, thankfully, and I landed by 5 pm, got the plane topped back off, etc. Just before we left, a guy came in. I forgot to mention him yesterday, but I was standing by the front desk and someone said "You wouldn't be Laura, would you?" Yeeeeessss? It was a Facebook friend, a guy who often comments that I am his favorite pilot. I've never met him in person before, and apparently he's based out of there. Again, small world, and I'd better watch myself in public! Lol We didn't get a chance to talk yesterday, but he was there again today, and we chatted for a few minutes before Terry came back and it was time for us to go. He then posted on Facebook that he got to meet his favorite pilot. Pretty wild!
Steve and I were going to swap cars with Kaylee again, but on the way there it didn't seem like the heater was working as well as it should be, so we just ate at Market Street Grill again while we were there and had something different, and came on back. I have to head to bed here now that it's almost 11 again, so that I can get back up at 6 am and go to Akron-Canton, OH first, then over to Beaver Hills, PA after that, in the other 340. Much shorter trips, only a couple hours in the air total, time on the ground while they work on projects. Easy weather, easy trips, easy airports, easy day as long as I get some food somewhere in there. :)
Sunrise--again--on the way south
Beautiful day down there. Sunny, warmer, colorful
Raleigh-Durham's control tower. That's a busy place. I was lined up behind and in front of airliners. One on the runway landing, one on final, you lined up and waiting, quick flow, good controllers.
