More Florida

I haven't heard from Kaylee today yet, so no updates there.

I ordered a pizza for dinner from a place, and it was supposed to be here at 7:04.  The doordasher just called and asked if I'd picked up my order. I said no, and she said that they said someone came and got it, it's gone.  So they have to remake it, an hour after it was originally supposed to be delivered in the first place.  I'm hungry, tired, and now irritated.

Up at 6:30 am to go out to Kokomo and be on my way to Florida as early as possible, so I could get topped off and be ready to go by 11:30.  Uneventful flight down, by myself, at 29,000', listening to music and reading a James Patterson book in good weather.  I read the book all the way until they were talking to me too much.  lol

Ate a roast beef sandwich on the way home, with a headwind this time, so it took 3 hours.  Landed at Kokomo in the clouds and the rain, about 500' overcast.  Tis the time of year for the wind and the clouds and the rain around here again.  *sigh*

When I landed, a bunch of CAF people were here, for our monthly meeting. It was supposed to be a ries event day, giving flights to our volunteers in all our airplanes. Instead it was crappy weather, so we just had the meeting. A new person, a lady named Keegan, friended me on Facebook and drove from Valparaiso just to attend our meeting.  So I had to do the host, selling, talking, salesman kind of thing until almost 6 pm. That made it a long day, small talk in the plane, small talk on the ground, small talk at the meeting, small talk afterwards.  I am small talked out.  Next up I took her and another new guy and let them climb in the C-45 out on the ramp and taxi it back to our hangar with me.  No flying, it was IFR and raining, but at least they got to see it start, run, and taxi around.  We rearranged everything, pulled out Glenn's Bonanza, put away the Beech, put away the Cheyenne.

And that's the end of the day.  Eating pizza, doing logbook stuff, putting Ann to bed, feeding the cat, and getting ready for tomorrow's flight to Illinois.

Couldn't decide which one I liked.
