Made It

Yesterday went pretty well like clockwork. Exactly how I laid it out. Got out to Kokomo early enough to pull out the 340 and top it off, pull out the RG and top it off, load up the RG with my stuff, go park my car and hike back to the RG, after which I was already sweaty because it was already hot and muggy. lol. Flew to Frankfort, flew the family to TN, topped off, flew back to Frankfort, landed, hopped in the RG, flew to Fond du Lac, all before the weather moved in up here.  Took a shuttle to the campgrounds bus stop, took a bus around the campground until they dropped me off close to my street, walked up with my suitcase and my pillow while the steaks were cooking.  Couldn’t have timed it any better.  We had over 30 people here for steak night, corn on the cob, salad, all the fixins, and Joe made his famous margaritas of which I had two.  Bad judgement call after a long hot day, but I did it anyway, and somehow got away with it.  No headache. It was great to see everyone, to be up here for the night.

And then the storms rolled in. The ones that were supposed to get here the same time as I did last night, but held off so I could get in?  Thank you, by the way!  They came in hard and fast.  Winds, heavy rains, reports of hail in some places (not our campsite anyway). We sat at the tables under the tent for most of it. Then the rain started coming in sideways so some people went into the trailer, but by then I was already damp and I liked the cool air and I’d rather be there than locked into a trailer.  So I stayed out with Morgan and Cameron until the storm passed.  Typical Oshkosh.  ;)

I’ve got my wrist band, gonna watch the night airshow tonight most likely, not sure what else I’ll do today. Go finish getting ready for the day, first, I guess!

But…made it. All is well.
