Good Things

The day started off on an IFR cross country with Isabel, and we got to do a good portion of it in actual IMC.  Her first time in the clouds.  :)  She thought it was the coolest thing, and got to see how quickly things can get squirrely if you get behind. It was a good flight, and we got to shoot two actual approaches in.  It was a good day, she did well, and it was good experience.

Unfortunately my head started bothering me this morning, so after that flight, with the pressure changes, my head really didn't like it, so I took something and laid down on the couch in the hangar for awhile.  The guys got the T-6 ready to go, as I'm testing out the CHTs on it.  The first three cylinders seem to be running a little too warm, so they made some changes and I took it up after 2 pm.  Four or five takeoffs and landings later, it was still running a little too warm, so I brought it back in.  They need to make another adjustment and then I'll fly it again tomorrow.  Then Morgan and I took the 172RG up and she flew it from the right seat, talking through maneuvers as she went.  Shot an RNAV approach back into Kokomo to see it from the right seat.

By then I was feeling better, and it was a beautiful evening, so I took up the Citabria with her, did a bunch of takeoffs and landings, had her do a couple from the back seat too.  Had some fun for about an hour. She leaves after tomorrow for the Women's Air Race Classic.

Tomorrow I have a 4:30 am wakeup call for a 6:30 am departure to Michigan. Home around 2, test fly the T-6 again, then probably an 8-9 pm flight back up to Michigan, then home late. Meanwhile, we are having a group of 2-5th graders out tomorrow too, but I won't be here for that one.
