Eh

So the Conquest flew today. Came back with a pressurization issue, an autopilot issue, and needing to reset torque limits and do a leak check.  They're hoping to fly it again tomorrow morning, so I have tomorrow 'off' too.  I have an eye doctor appointment for Monday and they keep asking me to confirm my appointment, and I can't, but I don't want to cancel it either because of stuff like this.  Instead, tomorrow Steve and I will fly down to the Noblesville pancake breakfast.  The big question is T-6 or Citabria.  Citabria is easier and burns (much) less gas. The T-6 is what they're expecting and hoping to see, and definitely cooler.  But it's way in the back of the hangar too.  I dunno. Decisions decisions.  ;)

I had three flights today. Each of them were struggles. One of them has sloppy habits and doesn't seem to care, which is the one thing I can't accept.  One has a lot of time and still struggles with the same thing as a certificated pilot of several years as they did as a student pilot. Today I said so, that I didn't know what more to say or do to stop some of these issues.  Never progressing, not even really treading water or holding steady. Just always backsliding to "not even solo" ready.  One is all science and no art.  I was kinda tired by the end of the day,  Hot day, from 9 am to 4 pm with a lunch break run home.

Our airspeed indicator wasn't reading properly in the 172.  One of the people I had today flew it yesterday, and said today that yeah, he did 5 landings and floated all the way down the runway and barely got stopped, five times in a row, and couldn't figure out that he was fast.  I don't CARE what the airspeed indicator is saying, the plane is talking to you, and after the 2nd landing you should figure it out.  I went up, stalled the plane, saw what the indication was, knocked off 10 knots, came in and landed just fine.  But if you can't tell by now that you're fast, and if you still can't tell by floating most of the way down a 6000' runway, five times in a row, that you're fast, I just don't know what hope there is.  A student is one thing, but years into this...

Well, guess I'll study a little more, grab my salad for dinner, go put Ann to bed, and finish watching "The Rock" with Sean Connery and Nicholas Cage.  Great movie.  ;)
