First thing this morning, flew with Neil in the T-6, did the stall series and some air work, then some takeoffs and landings. Landed, took up a 20 minute T-6 rider named Ondreya (Andrea). When I was buckling her in, we couldn't get the seat belt to get any tighter, and I said "Well, at least we won't be going upside down", and her boyfriend was like "oh, bummer", etc. So I asked when we got up there if she wanted to do more aggressive stuff and she said sure, she was up for whatever. Two moves later, she said "Okay, that's good enough, thanks!" lol That happens more often than you'd think. That's why I always start with something benign and tell them to tell me if they want more or want to stop. :) Then I went back up with Neil, and we went over to Marion, hit crosswind landings on a skinnier runway, then I swapped runways on him and had the crosswind from the other side. Finally, came back to Kokomo and did some engine out landings. Short field, soft field, crosswind, all of it. He did well. Landed, and Matt was here. So he and I went over the ground, sat in the cockpit, did all the things, and then took off for our first flight. We were up almost 2 hours. So all told I flew 5.5 hours today, which took me from 9 am to 7 pm, then out to dinner with them, so I left the house around 8:30 am and didn't get home until after 9 pm. Long day. Tomorrow will be similar. I have two guys here to fly all day for the next two days as well. Fortunately they're doing great and scaring me minimally. ;)
