Weekend

Well, I guess the house is about back to normal. The sheets and towels and bedrooms and futon and blankets and pillows and beds are all put away, dishes are done and unloaded, the cat is out of hiding, and I guess it's pretty quiet around here.

Friday afternoon Lon, Cathy, their dog Cinnamon, Tanner and Alonna arrived.  At 3:30 am, Morgan, Ricky, Izzy and Zeke arrived. They ended up leaving Tennessee really late and got in really late. I went to bed, Tanner and Steve stayed up for them.  Morgan is due in a few weeks with a baby girl. Zeke and Izzy are like 1.5 and 3 years old and it was a 7+ hour drive including stops, and the weather was pretty bad. That, my friends, is a long haul with a load.  ;)  The boys are sweet, energetic, bright, and well-behaved. They knew to be super gentle with old Roadie, and they really were. It was fun seeing them run around, and Morgan and Ricky were super patient with them. It's going to be funny watching the little girl with two big brothers growing up. She's either going to be really tough, or really pampered.  lol

Saturday morning they all went to visit Lon's Mom, who also has Alzheimer's, and then came back here to have a 90th birthday party for Ann. Kaylee came in too, and we had cake and decorations and presents, and it went pretty well. We had pizza from Pizza Junkiez for dinner, which is different and good.  Watched basketball, hung out, talked, you know, stuff.

This morning I fixed breakfast, bacon, eggs, toast, fruit, OJ, milk, no pancakes, waffles, or biscuits this time. Just a quick and easy.  Steve and I got up early because they said the babies woke up at the crack of dawn. The crack of dawn ended up being after 9:30 am.  Coulda slept in.  :D  But we had a nice brunch, and then it was time to pack up and head out for them.  Ann is confused with everyone there and then everyone gone, but it was nice to have a birthday celebration for her. I don't know how many more we'll get, so it was good to hit the 90th in full force.  :)

Now I'm just catching up around the house while Steve does projects and hangs out with Kenny outside, while Kaylee is off at a "bougee" wedding, and tomorrow is a trip to PA in the Cheyenne to drop it off, a trip home in the 340 with Ethan, and then on to some very busy weeks ahead.
