More Flying than Grounding Today

I already wrote it out on Facebook so I don't feel like writing it out again, but it was a good, fun day filled with a bunch of different types of flying, which I like.  Six flight legs. Five different airplanes flown.  A pressurized twin, a single engine piston, a pressurized single engine, a single engine tailwheel warbird, and an unpressurized twin.  I sat in an unpressurized multi-engine tailwheel and ran an engine but didn't fly it, and tried to fly a small taildragger but didn't get it to happen.  Apparently I was not smarter than the door.

First thing this morning was getting up early and going IFR over to Aurora to drop off the 340 for maintenance.  John came and got me in his A-36TC Bonanza.  Got back to Kokomo and flew the Piper Malibu Mirage for an hour with its owner, doing steep turns, approaches, steep spiral, etc.  Got in the Aerostar and flew to Ft. Wayne where I met up with Jim Z (delivering the T-6), Rob (former owner of the T-6) and Bob (new owner of the T-6).  We talked, met, and then before it got dark, I took up Bob in his new airplane.  He got emotional when it started, and just absolutely loved it. He kept texting Steve about how much he appreciates everything and how much it means to him.  He's a nice man, not a pilot, who just wants someone to fly him around in his T-6.  So we did for the first time today.  I landed as the lights were coming on, and flew the Aerostar back home with a pretty sunset.

When I got home at 8 pm, I had a zoom meeting with the CAF to welcome in a new sponsor on BOB. We asked questions, he asked questions, twas all good.

Now I need to go to bed. Tomorrow is like today.  I leave at 8 am for Ohio in the Aerostar. When I get back, I'll try to run BOB.  Then around 4 pm I need to fly the Cheyenne to Kentucky with the Coach, and won't get home until late.  I don't mind the busy.
