Aww. Now I would probably die on that hill.

Yes, I think she probably would. She's gone through a lot of changes. She was very outgoing and fearless when she was tiny. Then she was timid and anxious. Now, a combination of all the above. She has been a little bit of everything, all while trying to find her place. We probably all do that, our whole lives. I know I'm still adapting and don't much resemble the 'me' of several decades ago either in a lot of ways. Not always for good, not always for bad. I'm glad for several of the changes, and, well, still working on others. ;)
The blog, since she was a teenager, has been about flying, because that's what there is to talk about in my given day for the most part, that I can talk about. My days are not uninteresting to me in general, but they don't make for as interesting reading for anyone else, that's for sure. Maybe sometime I'll be able to get more creative with writing again. I sort of started that. A few years ago I started writing these little flying personal stories, but I only got three of them done. I started another blog and posted two of those stories on it. One was a morning in the life of a small town corporate pilot, and one was a day in the life of a brand new airshow pilot. They won't all follow that path, but it was a way to get started. My first ever airshow, etc. I figure if nothing else, I'll have things written down for my own benefit before I forget details, something to look back on and remember a little better, enjoy later. I doubt anyone else will care, but I've been able to have some good experiences over the years, might as well record them in a semi-organized fashion.
The winter storm moved in here and we got some heavy, wet, thick snow. The only thing on my schedule for today was to get my 2nd Class Flight Medical done. It wasn't due until the end of February, but this time slot was open, so I took it a little early. I had trouble passing the 20/20 near vision on my right eye. The rest I did fine on. Far vision on both eyes, near on the left eye. Fortunately I fly with two eyes and don't do anything that small that close by. I suppose I'd be in trouble if something poked me in the left eye and I had to read something tiny at a critical moment, but that's pretty unlikely. ;) But I do need to get my glasses and contacts updated. The ole right eye, the bad eye, has gotten even worse. *sigh*
Roadie seems to have slowed down quite a bit the last couple of days. She's slept a lot and moved slowly. So I gave her some steroids, something I hadn't had to do in awhile, and try to keep her eating. She's made it longer than I expected so we got used to her hanging on.
And now my left eye is watering again. Weather changes, probably, but it's my main precursor warning sign of an impending headache when I wake up in the middle of the night. Hopefully I'm wrong.
