Days

I've actually had a couple days in a row off, for the first time in over two months, and it's been really nice.  I slept in this morning until 8:15, and I didn't take a shower until 11 am, and I watched TV, and I read a book, and I sat in the house by myself all morning, and I LIKED it.

Then at lunch D texted and asked if I'd be available today or tomorrow for an emergency run to W. Virginia. Actually, I was. So I said I could, and at 5 pm we flew down to Parkersburg, WV, and I dropped them off and flew back home by myself.  A nice less than 3 hour round trip flight with nice weather and no problems, just how I like them.

As soon as I landed, we had a CAF meeting regarding BOB the C-45 going on tour in Florida for 6 weeks with the Air Power History Tour in February-March. The Wing Officers and the aircraft sponsors who were available for the meeting got together and talked about the tour, answered questions, discussed needing a new engine, and then voted to do it.  So...sometime in Feb-Mar, I am going to spend two weeks down in Florida on tour with the C-45 giving rides with the APHT.  That'll be a nice break in the middle of the winter!

Kaylee was originally supposed to graduate in December because she got a late start due to going to Thailand.  She then found out that her Master's program only starts in the Fall, so if she does that, she'll have to wait most of a year to get started on her Master's.  So she has been working on figuring out what it would take to graduate in April, instead. An added class now, a couple of summer courses, and she thinks she has it.  So as of now, Kaylee will graduate with her BSW (Bachelor of Social Work) in April, and start in on her Master (Masters? Master's? Master?) in the Fall. She will also get her "Addictions Counseling" certificate by the end of the semester too, and has two internships probably lined up.  So...so far she's on a roll and doing well!
