It was foggy and misty this morning, very pretty actually, but no flying. When the clouds finally broke around 10:30, we started in, and I gave rides pretty well non-stop through I’d say 3 pm. We’re only 10 miles from Lake Michigan, so I’d take people up there, look around, fling them around if they want, and come back, and that’s about a perfect 20 minute ride. I had some excited riders today, and one guy with two hips replaced that about couldn’t get in or back out, but it worked out, and he was most grateful.
I had my first ever hard landing in the BT too, which made me laugh, but it arrived at the runway before I did, apparently. I’ve never bounced or even had a hard landing in there before, so now I can’t say that any more. lol It was my first rider, and I joked about him getting two landings for one price. I’m having trouble hot starting it too. It has a different personality than the Beech with the same engines. It is not wanting to start hot. Too much prime, no. Not enough prime, no. Just right prime? Apparently not. I dunno.
Tomorrow is a pancake breakfast and it’s usually really busy. So if the weather holds out, it may be another extra busy day. Fortunately I have more pills left over in case it gets to me again. I swear wearing the flight suit is part of it. I’m layered up in a cockpit with temps well over 130 degrees for hours. I mean… c’mon.
I don’t know why these are all out of order, but…
