Kaylee and I had to get up early today in Indy because I had to get her back to Kokomo, the rental car returned, and then me drive back down to the Indy Metro area to fly in the PT-26 with a lady named Christine, who is a DPE (Examiner) and instructor. This was her first checkout in the PT, from the front and back seats alike. So we flew three times. Two with her in the front seat, once with her in the back. The flight time was just under three hours total, but it took all day with the ground and the breaks in between, fueling and pulling in and out of the hangar, etc. I got home around 8 pm, having not even unpacked from Indy. I stopped at Chick Fil-A for some Jesus chicken and a peach shake on my way home, first food I'd had since Kaylee and I had breakfast in Indy. That was good by the way. We went to a cafe nearby and they were FAST and good. But I just had bacon and cinnamon sugar toast, all day, until after 7 pm. A little long to go, but I needed to get this job done with Christine so I can move on to what's next.
Right now I am going to Toledo tonight, Thursday, and being there Fri-Sun for the Air Power Tour. Then Monday is a Cheyenne trip to Maine, and Tuesday is a trip to New Jersey. In other words, I'm booked up from the 19th-29th. I need to schedule the C-45 guy, Matt. I have a T-6 checkout coming from out of town as well. At least that one's paid. The CAF stuff isn't, like the PT stuff I spent all day on today. I do a lot of that unpaid stuff, but it has its own benefits too.
