I ripped a pair of my pants, and I only have a few, so I tried to find replacements on line and was unsuccessful. That means I have to go to the store, so I went to the mall where there is more than one store. I go into this one shop, and the sizes go from 000 up to 0 on the shelf. Like 0 itself isn't self explanatory, they have to have 000, 00, and 0. Would that have previously been 4, 2 and 0? Do we really have to feel the need to label pants 000? And then on the other wall they had three small rows of pants with a big sign that says "Mom jeans". Those also started at 000, for the record. I looked at the sign for 'Mom jeans' and the fact that they didn't have holes, style, or shape, along with starting with 0, and thought "screw you people" and walked out. It wasn't even Abercrombie, which you'd expect that from them. They in the past wouldn't hire a corporate pilot who wasn't a tiny size who didn't fit into their clothes, and they deliberately don't make bigger clothes because they don't want 'fat, uncool' people wearing their brand. No problem, you got it. I found a pair in another shop that are mostly okay. And then I was just worn out. I went to Target to look at other stuff and was wondering why on earth it was chaos in there. Back to school shopping, that's why. Screaming children. Frazzled parents. Large crowds. I couldn't find anything to buy, couldn't concentrate, couldn't stand the thought of trying on any more pants at any store, need a nice outfit for an upcoming wedding and couldn't do that, either. Could use a new pair of shoes as mine are thin and couldn't do that either. I just had to get out of there. Shopping puts together about everything I hate in life into one moment. And people wonder why I just wear the same jeans and t-shirts and the same pair of shoes until they fall apart. That's why. And comfort. ;)
