Life

So my cousin's funeral was a few days ago, and my aunt's funeral is tomorrow.  I can't really be at either, or my uncle's funeral not that long ago either.  Most any flying I've been doing has been paid, except the Champ a couple of times, and it only burns 4 gallons per hour..  Good bang for your buck.  Ann is difficult. Even with someone helping, she's getting more combative, often refusing to take her meds for anyone but me or Steve and arguing with us about it several times, refusing to eat for them,  refusing to let them leave if we're not home next door.   She wouldn't eat lunch for them today. Wouldn't let them give her a Tylenol for her headache today because she said she already had.  She wouldn't let them do a bath the last two times.  The point of paying these professionals to come over several times a week so that they could take care of her meds, meals, and bathing, be companions, and so that we didn't have to go over 3-4 times a day, or be here every night when she went to bed.  It started off pretty good, but she's been giving them more and more of a hard time.  Now we have to be home and have our back lights on before she'll be okay for them to leave or her to go to bed.  It's getting harder to convince her to do the basics of what she needs to do.  She's also agitated and anxious moreso now than before, so I called her doctor and asked if there was anything we could do, and they called in another prescription to give her at night. Of course it's out of stock right now at CVS, but as soon as it gets in, we'll give that a try and see if it works.  She's just been...almost manic sometimes, not feeling well sometimes, agitated sometimes, happy sometimes.  Usually several times a day lately she says her stomach hurts.  We give her pepto bismol out of a lack of knowing anything else to do.  It usually comes and goes. I am guessing it's either gas or anxiety or both.

I spent today not flying for the first time in awhile. Windy, rainy, IFR.  So I spent an hour with Ann this morning at breakfast, she didn't want to eat or take her meds, but I got both in eventually.  I did some runs, ATM,  CVS, post office, lunch, usual errands you cover when you're 'off'.  Spent some time on the phone with a few people and places including the doctor.  Organized receipts and sent them in to MBros for billing, sent other billing to Steve, caught up on the laundry I was too busy to do last weekend, fed the cat a few times, yadda yadda.

Now it's 1 am and I'm going to try to get some sleep.  Isn't that fascinating?
