Tuesday

It was Flying Squirrels day.  Interestingly, only half of them showed up.  They didn't tell us they weren't coming, they just didn't come.  So we were done by noon.  So I said I'd get two of our young workers tailwheel current.  I went with the first one, and the second just disappeared.  I texted him and asked why he ghosted me on me doing him a favor, and he said he forgot.  He said to let him know next time I was free and we'd go.  I thought...it's okay.  I'm sure I'll forget for awhile.  ;)

I picked up a few more certified letters today.  Were they Christmas presents?  Love letters?  Oh, no, guess not.  :p

Ann and I walked through her garden this afternoon, flowers all abloom, bugs all around. She was pleased and happy to be out and in the sunshine.

I've spent most of the afternoon catching up on CAF stuff.  Filling out my 601 form, going back and forth on emails, setting up BT-13 stuff, setting up C-45 stuff, finishing up PT-26 stuff with Mark.  You could make that a full time job if you had the time and money to do that.

Our 172 had a flat tire two months after we replaced the tire at annual. The tube went, nothing that a student did.  Our 172RG had a bum mag 200 hours after the mag was inspected and rebuilt.  Both those airplanes are down.  The Aerostar is down for annual.  The 340 is having a pressurization problem since it came out of annual.  I have an old friend who asked us to see if we could help pick up his son in Kansas to bring him home in time to see his wife (kid's mom) before she dies, and he ships out overseas for six months (he's Army).  I'd need to get him Friday and take him back by Sunday or he'll be AWOL.  I am trying to figure out the Cheyenne trip in August, Chuck vs a paying job.  There's the lawsuits of course, and figuring out the next steps there.  And Oshkosh is coming up, which we've decided I'm going to do anyway. I may not have a lot of years left to try to pull off Dubuque and Oshkosh, and there's always a good reason not to financially. So, that's the plan for now. Only live once, usually regret what you don't do more than what you do. We'll see how it goes.

On to tomorrow, when I'm supposed to do a T-6 flight and go to the dentist.  The dentist rescheduled me, so it's just one T-6 flight...if the weather holds out. I think it will.  He wants to go upside down.  I'm rusty at that but he won't know the difference, he's not even a pilot. ;)

Goodnight.
