The run-up was fairly successful, and then I taxied it around some more to try to break in the brakes. They DID do a little better today, I was able to hold it at 1700 RPM. The left brake is way worse than the right. The right almost feels like a real brake now. Almost. ;)
We put everything away, had trouble with the 340 tug starting, baked and cooked some more, got everything done, sat in the hangar and tried to cool our inner body core temp down for awhile, before I came back home. I had to do another load of laundry, including every piece of clothing I'd worn today. I hate winter, and I hate sweating. Why do I live somewhere that it's colder than Alaska for a few months, it's hotter than a moist hades for a couple months, a couple months are nothing but high winds and rain, and then if we're lucky we get a little bit of actually decent weather. Dumb Indiana.
Tomorrow early I'm up to go to an airport 50 miles away to do Young Eagles rides for the chapter that blew it. I'm taking two girls with me as ground crew support. A bunch of us are going, and we're donating our airplanes. Steve has to stay back to take care of Ann. We're still coming over 4-5 times a day, trying to push her into a little more independence these last few days. There's no real physical reason she couldn't, and we'll see if mentally she'll pick it up or not.
