I got my exercise in, which I've been not very consistent at lately. But the weight I put back on is right over the line of comfortable, so I want it to go back away. I don't have to be "scrawny" as my Grandma would say, but I don't like THIS spot. So...it needs to go.
Here go a bunch of "I did" statements.
I got Ann's banking done, which entails paying the Visa, and going into checking, transferring money, and verifying that everything is good for the week.
I got my house bills paid, utilities, etc., so they won't shut the lights off on us during this cold snap, which is always a bonus. ;)
Met up with Ty for lunch, and going down to Breeze Inn for dinner shortly to meet up with some Westfield/Kokomo pilots. Best chicken sandwiches down there. Grilled chicken, so it's even healthy.
I stopped by Panera and picked up Ann's dinners for the next few nights. She's in love with the broccoli cheddar soup, wants it pretty much every day. :)
I re-ordered one of Ann's medications that she's running low on, and will be able to pick that up tomorrow, and checked the rest of them to make sure nothing else was coming due soon.
Today I went in and got my 2nd Class Medical renewed. No problems, as usual. Nurse said "Wow, your blood pressure is really good." Nobody expects an overweight middle aged lady to have low blood pressure. :D She also was impressed by my pulse rate. Thank you very much. It's up into the 60s these days, used to be in the 50s, and my blood pressure has broken 100 now routinely, but...still. So far so good. Now I'm good to go for a whole nother...year. I wish this thing lasted longer. It's such a pain.
I went over and visited with Ann for a bit, delivering the food, picking up some cards to send out, doing a food inventory, etc. She's doing pretty well right now, enjoying her bobble heads on the deck, and waiting on me to get her a hair cut and dental appointment. I didn't get THAT done today, but hopefully soon.
My one student for today got canceled thanks to snow and IFR. Poor girl is trying to finish up and I canceled her yesterday because I was gone, and today Mother Nature canceled her. We'll get there. This is a bit of a brutal February.
I got the address to ship the fuel distributor to and sent that on, and sent on to the owner and the seller the good information that the shop found a lot of corrosion throughout that part, cleaned it all up, replaced seals and a diaphragm, and that it should be shiny, new, and in good shape. That it definitely was causing the problem and hopefully now that'll be the end of THAT little good time. The owner then asked when I was coming back out and I'm like...I DON'T KNOW YET. It's not even here, then we have to get it to Melvin, Melvin has to get the time to put it back together, then we need good weather days from Springfield, MO to California all the way across, and oh, I have corporate trips the 15th, the 20th, the 25th, that I know of so far, two of them with someone brand new to me in a plane brand new to me, and I have to get the Cheyenne to PA by the 28th before it runs out of annual and I have to do my currency in it before that happens. So yeah. I don't know man. I'll have to get back to you. Oops, instead of talking about what I've gotten done, now I'm talking about what's stressing me out, too. ;)
I set up an appointment for Steve for HIS medical, got that done too. Cleaned up my correspondence and got back to everybody that I owed answers to. So...all in all I'm feeling pretty good about today. I'm going to head down south (not far enough, it's still cold in Kempton, IN), eat with some friends, and relax for a bit tonight. Tomorrow will be another day, and I'll see what I can come up with for this trip out west, and Cheyenne currency. Cheers!
