Mid-Week

Back to a typical day.  I had an 8:30 am flight this morning, and we did hood work.  Lunch.  Back out for a 2 pm flight where we had gusty crosswinds.  This one is just waiting for nice weather to solo and we still don't have it.  But today I had her go into Glenndale.  She's a Squirrel who hasn't been into Glenndale since the accident.  So I didn't tell her we were going until we were about to enter downwind so she wouldn't have time to think about it.  We stayed in the pattern and did two or three there, and then left.  Enough to break the hold it had, to get rid of an elephant in the room so to speak.  And we landed on 18, the same runway, over the wires.  Face it to go through it and beat it.  She did great.

My next flight was in the Champ with a new person and it was so gusty, she canceled on me.  Probably a good call.

Steve went down to eat with the pilots in Kempton tonight, and I'm just tired and want to stay home, so I got the trash and recyclables ready, and am sitting here updating my logbook and so forth.  Tomorrow I have one guy scheduled at 4 pm, and with winds forecast to be at 35 knots tomorrow afternoon, I'm guessing that ain't gonna happen either.  Maybe I'll take a sleeping pill and knock myself out tonight.  I've been sleeping like crap.  I need some rest.

That's about all I've got!
