The Mondays

It was definitely a Monday!

We woke up early in order to get the Jeep to a guy who is going to weld something on the frame, and to try to get the Buick to Mark (mechanic).  The Jeep was dropped off successfully, but then he called pretty quickly and said he found something even worse, it would be a bigger and more involved repair.  We got to the airport, and the Buick won't even start and stay running.  Steve goes through our insurance and calls for a free tow.  Long story short, we ended up waiting over 2 hours for him to show.  Sitting in the cars just waiting on him.  That got old after an hour.  After two hours I was officially in a bad mood, and it took most of the day to go away.  We're got the Explorer which is fine and the Corvette which is running but doesn't have windshield wipers.  We've got three people, one car, but...fortunately nobody needs to go anywhere tomorrow, and my Buick will be back tomorrow by lunch, he says.  The right rear tire had a slash in it, which is why the gauge kept telling me to check tire pressure, and it was an air intake something or other causing the car to not run, not a fuel pump as Steve suspected.  I think it's probably easier and cheaper to be this air thingy, but I say that out of a guess.  ;)

Kaylee had online class today and is in there working on homework right now.  At 5:40 pm she had a craving for egg salad.  We don't have the ingredients to make it here, and all the restaurants that make it closed at 5:30-6 pm, and there are only a few of them.  So she could go to Meijer or Kroger and probably find some, but she's working on homework instead.   I'm betting tomorrow she caves in.

Steve did a bunch of work outside.  He shored up our fence boards in some areas, and worked on wiring in the garage.  I got my exercise in and a few things done on the computer, a few house chores you try to do every day, and sat out at the airport for a few hours in a car waiting, but for the most part I didn't get a lot done today.  Feeling a little bleh today.  Tomorrow is supposed to be a rainy, yucky day.  I've got laundry to do again, and dishes, doesn't that sound exciting?
