Quickly

I'm magically getting sleepy early (well, before 1 am anyway), so I'll make this quick.

Steve's surgery went well, and I was able to pick him up and bring him home after 6 pm.  He was on big drugs for awhile there, and I think it's still working its way out of his system.  IV drip of morphine.  He said it made him see alternate realities depending on if his eyes were open or closed. They gave him antibiotics to take, and a script of Norco (which is an opioid plus acetaminophen).  He hasn't needed the big guns, just Mortin, but filled it anyway so we'd have it around in case we needed it, just like we needed what we had the other day.  My oldest bottle of it is way expired, I think I have two Hydrocodones left, but it still works when needed, and it goes to show you how rarely we need big painkillers like that.  It's good to have just in case though.

Kaylee made the mistake of eating an entire bag of wintergreen mints, only to find out they were sugar free.  Do you know what happens when you eat a lot of sugar free candies?  I do.  My experience came from sugar free chocolates.  Now she knows as well.  We don't have enough toilet paper for this crisis.  ;)

Steve said that his hospital floor was completely deserted.  Any flu or COVID patients were on different floors with different staff.  They were very careful about touching or cleaning everything, and they didn't let anyone in but the exact patient, and they monitored their temps all the time too.  The hospital is ready, but for now it has a lot of empty beds, which is good.  Steve said it was like something from a horror movie.  He went out and took photos of the deserted floor and nurse's desks.  He ate pretty well though, and said they were all really nice to him.  He may regret coming home to our mac and cheese and chicken noodle soup stock.  ;)

A lady on facebook said that people who were flying an airplane by themselves solo were selfish and risked spreading the virus, even if they were alone in the plane, nobody else touched the plane or hangar, and they didn't use fuel services, because...if they crashed the plane, and emergency services had to come get them, and they needed hospitalization, they'd risk the emergency workers and take a bed in the hospital that could be used for the coronavirus patients.  I was like...huh.  Or maybe that sinkhole will open under your house, or maybe you'll go for a walk in your yard and break your leg, or maybe your husband will need to go to the ER, and you'll take a hospital bed that a virus patient needed.  Weirdest biggest reach I've seen to date on why people shouldn't do something.  If a person crashes, they earned a hospital bed, and emergency personnel are always careful when dealing with body fluids and pandemics.  So....okay, weird flex but okay, as kids said last year.

That's it for tonight.  I'm going to buckle up the house and see if I can get some sleep.  And see how Kaylee's digestive tract is doing and whether or not I need to try to find more TP now.  ;)
