Illinois

Boy it was breezy and nasty and grey today.  Grissom was saying it was lightly snowing this morning, Kokomo was saying it was lightly raining this morning, and that is generally not a good thing when the temps are right at 34F.  We were supposed to take the Toga to S. Illinois, but in those conditions Nathan and I took the Cheyenne instead.  And other than being gusty and turbulent down low, it was a non-event.   He flew down while I right-seated, and I flew home.  He had 26 knot gusting winds to land in down there, I had about 32 knot gusting winds to shoot an RNAV 32 approach and land in up here, both fairly close down the runways, so not that exciting.

I stopped by Panera on my way home for lunch and to pick up some soup for Kaylee and Ann, and then my day was pretty well done.  No students in today's weather, that's for sure.

Honestly, not much else happening right now, so here are a couple photos from today.  Tomorrow is the CAF ground school all day, starting 9 am.  Whee.  ;)

The lovely forecast for today.

Panels haven't even come off yet but I can't fly it.  I miss it.

Just trying out a black & white version.

And while it was grey and nasty in Kokomo all day, as usual this is what it looks like when you get high enough.  ;)
