This darkness coming early stuff is making it hard for me to get up in the morning, keeps me sleepy a lot throughout the day, and makes me tired early in the evening. I'm just dragging, dragging, dragging. Not motivated, don't even feel like going outside or doing any flying when it's cold, spitting snow, and wind. I hate it.
My morning long IFR cross country was canceled for icing conditions. My night cross country was canceled because of winds and low ceilings. I think they both could have gone, but when the students canceled for those reasons, I didn't push them into doing it anyway. Because I didn't feel like it anyway. :/
The CAF had a work day out at the airport, on the C-45, and got a lot done. Grilled out, had burgers and beans, had about 8-10 people out there working on stuff. Twas good. We ended the night going out to eat at Outback, and they had the worst time. The waitress was behind, my steak was perfect if I'd ordered it cool and jiggly and rare, they forgot some of Nathan's food, we waited 10 minutes for silverware, and we got carrot cake to go, and when it came out, it was half of a piece. The guy in back couldn't fit the whole piece in a small container so he put about half a piece in. We complained, the manager came out and took care of it, aggressively. Gave us nice full-sized pieces, comped us for them, etc. He said we spend too much money on the cake to only get half of it. lol The place was busy, but it's tiring to spend 90 minutes with most of it waiting for drinks, waiting for silverware, waiting for food, waiting for refills, etc. I took my steak home so I could just finish cooking it a little bit here at the house and enjoy it more. Cold raw steak is not my thing. Medium rare is perfect. It has to at least be warm and not super....chewy. Yuck. :p
Well, as promised, here are a bunch of photos from Kaylee. I don't have explanations on them, I don't have locations on them, I can't answer questions about most of them, and I'm going to leave them all smaller so I can fit more and not take as much time putting them up. But if you click on each one you can get the big version if you so desire. She didn't want to post pictures and have people think she's being flippant or taking a vacation or just having fun, or exploiting the people she's working with. Some quick notes. They mostly don't have furniture, so you have to sit on the floor, eat on the floor, etc. You can't point your feet at someone or it's an insult, so you have to tuck your legs in. She says her legs fall asleep. lol So that's why you see people sitting on the floor for everything. So...some of these are duplicates of what I've already posted, but if I wasn't positive I'd posted it, I went ahead and did it again here. Enjoy!
