Plans

This morning I was supposed to take our T-6 to Muncie for its VFR check.  Should've been in and out in under 2 hours, more like 1.  I actually was tense flying the T-6 this morning, but also didn't sleep well last night, woke up too early this morning, so I was really tired, which didn't help.  I got there, and I started off doing well, having breakfast at Merk's Diner and reading a book.  And then I walked next door, and found out they were having problems with the paperwork.  I was supposed to have an instructional flight at 1:30 in the T-6, but it canceled anyway.  I ended up staying in the pilot lounge at Muncie all day, and didn't get home until almost 4:30 pm.  I got there around 9 am.  That was a LONG, unexpected day.  I was exhausted already, but there was no chair or couch there with a headrest.  I missed lunch because I didn't know I'd be there that long and Merk's closes at 2 pm.  I kept expecting to be leaving.   Finally I get back at 4:30, and my 5:30 student was already there.  So I laid on the couch for a few minutes while he preflighted, and then we went and did 1.3 in the pattern.  Home now, and so tired.  Tomorrow morning I take the T-6 to Grissom for the Air Show event.  We'll be wheels up by 7:45 am, so I'm hoping I get to sleep and stay asleep tonight.  It's another busy weekend.
