Thank Goodness

Thank Goodness it's Monday!  I didn't happen to have anyone scheduled today, so I have had the whole day to catch up and work on some stuff that was bugging me.  I cleaned off my changing table area, including underneath, and decluttered, and threw away a trashbag full of stuff I'll never use, old make-up, all sorts of stuff.  I kept my old curler rods just because it seems like you should sell those, or that maybe some day they'll come back in style.  :D  But seriously, my area looks so much better.  I did all the laundry we're behind on, did all the dishes we were behind on, swept the kitchen floor and vacuumed several rooms as well.  I even put all my laundry, and the towels, away.  That's rare.  ;)  I plowed through all but four of my email things to do that I needed to do, and the last four are the hardest ones that require some thought.  That's why I'm cleaning so much, to avoid having to figure out the last few things.  And because my house desperately needed some attention and I couldn't stand it.  Now I need to get Kaylee on her stuff.  She has the biggest disaster I've ever seen short of a hoarder's TV show, and we can't handle it.  She will have some time here coming up, finally.  I hope to fly with her too, but she needs to write a lot of thank you notes, clean up her mess, and start packing for Oregon too, which she leaves for in 15 days.

I mailed off a T-shirt to the 13 year old who went on a T-6 ride with me, got the mail and got through all of it, and made it to the grocery store for the first time in awhile.  I ran into Judy Rider in there, and we were both lost, because Kroger has rearranged all of their shelves and items, and I can no longer find where things are as easily.  And the shelves are so high you can't look easily around to find what aisle you might need. Anyway, after a little griping, we both seemed to end up with what we needed.  ;)

I still have things to do.  I'm going to clean up the kitchen sink if nothing else, and I have those four email things left to do; one of those tasks includes sending about 8 emails asking for something from people, which I hate doing.  Thus the cleaning first.  Got my camera battery charged up, card cleared off, and all ready to go, too.  I need to upload photos to the website too, and I have a lot of them.  But still, I'm on a roll, and it feels good to get some stuff done.

Steve drove Kaylee and her friend Morgan Miller down to REI in Indy today, to look at and pick out a daypack and a back pack for their mission trips.  They've been gone for hours.  I'm sure he is having fun down there.  :D

When the sun came out, Ann was out there in the garden working away.  It's a little windy today, and started off murky, but has ended up beautiful, and should stay that way tomorrow for our opening day of the Flying Squirrels.

Onward!

Here are a couple photos of Kaylee annoying Steve in the car yesterday on our way to an Open House.  I think it means she loves him.  Also, the bruise on her arm?  It's from Musical Chairs War.  ;)
