Shot

I was on a good roll getting a lot done all the way through until about 2 pm.  I got the laundry all done, a bunch of communications, stuff for Kaylee's thing, just all sorts of stuff.  And then Kaylee got out of school and we had to go get her Hep A shot.  When we got there, they forgot about us.  Our appointment was at 3:30.  We got there at 3:15.  We sat there until 4:15.  Finally the front desk lady went back and asked them about us.  The two nurses back there each thought the other one had done it, when neither had.  So they apologized all over the place.  Fortunately Kaylee was too tired to get too worked up waiting, but once we got in there, the nurse said that she's actually due her Meningitis B second shot too.  That threw her, because she was expecting and prepared for one.  She insisted they both go in the same arm, which the nurse tried to discourage, but Kaylee wanted one arm "hole free".  She then spent the next hour quietly freaking out about it, until we got home and she cuddled up on the chair next to me and took a nap.  So I didn't get much of anything done after that.  Now it's 8 pm and I'm ready to wind down for the evening.  I might see if there's any more paperwork stuff I can do while sitting here, but my brain is kind of done for the day.  :)
