The poster board is done and Kaylee is pleased with it. I posted her photos up, and just really enjoy them. She looks so grown-up and mature and confident and poised. She's 18, and graduating from high school, can you believe that? And if he were here, her brother would be a 21 year old man! It's hard to really even imagine. How did I even get old enough to have adult children?
I did go with Kaylee to the police station today, where she was fingerprinted and finished applying for her carry permit. It's a lifetime permit, so even though she's not going to be actually carrying anything at this time, at least she will have one just in case she does end up needing or wanting to carry at some point in the future. She'll get more training before that happens, too. But it's one thing off her To Do list. Other things on the list were motorcycle endorsement and soloing an airplane. We'll have to see if we can do something when she gets out of school, finally, before she leaves for Oregon, on those last two things.
I'm getting stuff ready to go for tomorrow's trip to Dallas. Leaving at 5:15 am. I have some clothes to try on and see if they fit before 3:45 am. lol The weather for the TBM Avenger Gathering is looking pretty iffy, but that plane is ready to go too, for when I get back Friday evening.
I got stuff done, I got more stuff to get done. Kaylee is at a track meet with friends, while it storms here, which I think is funny. Did they really hold a track meet in the middle of a thunderstorm? Bet not. Bet they went somewhere else. ;)
