Happening

After lunch today, Steve and I went and voted.  We had to show our driver's license, and sign a thing which then compared our signature to make sure it was us.  Side note.  Why this isn't standard required operation for anyone who wants to vote is beyond me.  Wouldn't everyone in this country want to make sure that the people casting a vote in their elections should legitimately be doing so?  That someone else isn't voting on the wrong name.  And don't tell me that "undocumented aliens" who live here should be able to vote because they live here.  That's just the most stupid thing I've heard.  Find me any country in the world where it's okay for you or anyone else to sneak into and then start voting on policy and government change for that country.  That's just not how this works.  Be a citizen, you can vote.  If you're not, you have none of our rights.  Especially not this right.  And yet California is issuing IDs for illegals to vote with, and other states "don't ask don't tell".  I'M asking.  I truly don't get who can be on the other side of that and what on earth they're thinking.

Anyway.

After voting, I took Ann to get her hair cut, then for her to go vote.  Missions Accomplished!

We got ready, and then tonight was Kaylee's Variety Show.  They didn't win this year, but they got a lot of laughs and a lot of applause.  It was a fun routine.  Other than one idgit who got up and walked up the aisle blocking my view for a few seconds, I got a decent video of it for your pleasure.  There was a lot of singing, some dancing, some piano playing, cheerleaders, jazz band, small orchestra, drums, a magic act, prose set to music.  A nice variety show.  :)

I've got a story I wanted to tell you, and I can't remember what it was.  So for now I'll move on to photos from tonight.

The Mannequin Head Dancers

Kaylee and Grandma

Meredith and Kaylee

The two riders I went up with a week or two ago for some aerobatics. They wanted to take a photo with their motorcycles, themselves, me and the plane.  So we did.  :)
