Easy Breezy

It was another windy day, and it took a turn for the cold.  Coming home I could feel the chill in the air as the temp just dropped.  The high winds have taken off most of the pretty leaves off, leaving brown, green, and bare branches.  Here we go...

I haven't flown the Cheyenne in a long time, and tomorrow is my trip to Tampa.  So I took it up today for two takeoffs and landings.  The first one I was a few seconds behind the plane all the way around the pattern.  Still made a nice landing, even with a 23 knot crosswind at 50 degrees.  The second time around I was pretty well caught up.  So I'm glad I did that, since I'll have the boss and his parents on board tomorrow.  :)

Next up I needed to fly a 172RG for a guy out in California who wants to buy it from the Kokomo sales place and fly it back to CA.  So he paid me $50 to take it up around the pattern.  I wrote up a list of squawks on the plane for him.  Easiest $50 I've made in awhile.  Even if it was windy.

Kaylee had an interesting morning.  She's an office aide for the front office for first period.  Well, they locked down the school, called in the police and a couple police dogs, and they were looking for drugs.  Something must have been called in.  Kaylee says the school has been having a lot of issues lately with vaping, juuling (same thing), and drugs. Sad, in the middle of the country Greentown, IN, but it's everywhere right now.  Most of my Nov Mom people say it's a big issue in their schools too, all over the country.

Well, going to finish this show then try to get to sleep so I can wake up at 4:30 am when it's 28 degrees outside, to go fly to Florida for a few hours.  Wish me luck.  :)
