Punkin

Still going over here.  I'm struggling with the season or something; been having trouble motivating to do anything, trouble getting to sleep, trouble eating too much, just don't feel very peppy.  But it is officially Fall, with the cooler temps, and the sunlight and air hitting that Fall golden coloring.  My favorite coloring before the winter fade-outs.  I'm going to have to go out flying one of these coming evenings at the golden hour and try to make myself feel better.  That ought to be a good start at least.  :)

Kaylee and her friend Caitlyn baked pumpkin pies today.  They bought all the ingredients, spices, boxes where you can make a crust, made it all up.  It was good I was home, because I actually got to help, and it made me feel all domestic.  They needed help rolling out the dough without it sticking, and help figuring out how to bake the pies without burning the crusts, and I helped Kaylee with her real pumpkin, the seeds, etc.  All in all, I actually got to pass on some sort of cooking and baking knowledge to the two, and I felt very maternal and domestic while I was doing it.  Kaylee's pie turned out really good, we've all had a piece, and we're all impressed with ourselves.   :)

Kaylee then went over to Meredith's house to work on choreography, and during a flip was dropped on her head.  They got a video clip of it, and I'm going to see if it works on blogger here.  It might not, I'm not sure how to make a moving gif move on here.  But I'll try.  She's okay, she has a headache now from it, but she mostly landed on her upper back, then her head.  She'll be okay...

I had a flight these evening, Steve's guy. We worked on crosswind landings, strong enough you had to work at it, 16 knots around 40 degrees off.  We watched the sun go down, earlier and earlier.  My 6-8 p.m. time slot is now getting shortened, as it's almost too dark by 7 pm.  *sigh*

Tomorrow I have a night flight, and if the weather holds out I'm going to see about going flying myself, at sunset.  J-3 or T-6, I don't know yet.

Here's the flip drop...ow!
