When I got down, I took Ann to a doctor's appointment, then went to Glenndale for lunch where they had chili dogs and too many tasty desserts. Picked up a computer for Steve from Wallace from there, ran home and dropped off leftovers and changed pants thanks to chili dog sauce dripped on my pants, and then I went back out to Kokomo to fly the T-6.
I was going up today to practice. I started off with some rolls. Then I went on to some more aggressive stalls. I deliberately did slightly uncoordinated turning stalls, held it into a stall power off, basically I let it go upside down and wonky and then fixed it. Then I did loops. I did five in a row. Then I decided after about 5 rolls, I don't know how many upside down stalls, and 5 4-G loops in a row, that my head was about done. So I came in to do some crosswind 3-point landings. A couple of those and I put her away for the day. That was good for me.
The day ended in flying with a flight review in the Cub I've been flying with its real owner. He hadn't flown since last year, so we went up together, and it was such a perfect evening for it. We ended up at Kokomo, put it away in the maintenance hangar temporarily, and then I came home and sat around the fire with Steve and Kenny and ate my Arby's dinner at almost 10 pm.
Long day, but a good, productive one filled with different types of flying and accomplishments. Pleased.
Kaylee worked this afternoon and said the kids were pretty good. I was basically over the top of her head doing my aerobatics this afternoon, figured she'd hear the plane, but she didn't, and she was disappointed because they were outside a lot that afternoon, but not at the right time apparently.
She is considering her first big road trip. It would be driving to a small town in Ohio to do VBS with a camp friend of hers, for a week. She'd be driving herself by herself over to Ohio, about a 2.5 hour drive. Not a long drive, but she'd have to drive around Ft. Wayne, which can get busy like any big city. We are considering it too. You have to do it sometime...
Now I'm worn out, from a good day of good stuff.
