Sweatbox

That's what it was today, and what it will be until at least Sunday.  Saturday is to be 95 degrees with a heat index of 105 last I heard.  THAT'LL be fun. :o

Tomorrow I was supposed to fly to South Bend, IN then down to Atlanta, GA, then back home, leaving at 2:30 pm and home by about 9 pm.  Now I'm not leaving for South Bend until about 7:45 pm, and I won't get home until 3 or 4 am.  This is extra not good, because early Saturday morning I am taking the T-6 down to Indy for a weekend in the heat of formation flying and other flying.  It kind of ruins the day I was planning on having Saturday, because I don't do so well on just a few hours sleep.  :(  We'll see how it goes, but I'm not super happy about it.

This afternoon I had two Flying Squirrels to fly with, a young lady and a young man.  We were in the Champ at Westfield, so I flew the Cub down there to meet with them.  No air flow on the ground, sun beaming down, stuffy building with no air, just hooooot.  Hot.  Hot.  But we had a good time, and we all had fun with it, and they learned a few things.  It's always fun to see how excited some of the kids get at this.

Steve's cousin Jeff has been here the last couple of days, and we took him to lunch today before he headed back with the rest of his family.  Kaylee sent me some photos too, but I'm so tired, too tired to save off, download, then upload tonight, so you'll have to wait for tomorrow.  ;)

She's apparently doing well though.  Just a few more days and she'll be headed home.

Photos I'd already downloaded from today...

Pretty plane in a pretty setting.

Young lady doing well

Young man preflighting the Champ while the Cub sits in the background.

On my way home.  ;)
