Speed Up

I've just been hunkered down trying to get better.  This is the speed dating version of the last time.  The fever lasted one day instead of three, the cough lasted a couple days instead of a week, though that one day was bad, and I couldn't eat or keep food down.  Now I'm in the congestion phase, but even that eased up after a day, to where I haven't even taken any meds yet today and I think I can survive off them.  Last time it was a good two weeks, but this time it's like my system says "Hey, I've been here before, let's just get through the phases."  I still don't feel great but I think I'll only have had one day where I was just *down*.  Today I must go on a hunt for toilet paper (and other things, but mostly tp). You know it's bad when you're eyeballing your last roll in one restroom and feel relieved to find two rolls in the other.  And you're too sick to go out.  That's definitely emergency status.  Today is the day.  I slept until 11 am, I'm taking my time, and I will get the job done.  ;)

Today was supposed to be a flying day.  I could have done it, but I'm not sorry it was postponed.  We have winds up over 30 knots, which wouldn't have stopped us from going to Georgia, but it would have meant the trip home for the guys in a Champ would have been a bit...unnecessary.  I still have two students this afternoon, but one will cancel as he doesn't like turbulence at all and this would be Turbulence.  The other, we'll see. I may end up going with him if it calms down below 25.

I'm supposed to test fly the T-6 today too.  I won't be doing that while the winds are this high, but they should die down at some point this evening.  If I feel well enough and if the conditions are good enough, I'll get that done.

Kaylee is immersed in school, choir, doing her thing.  Steve is behind on computer work and just running around like crazy.

So now you're caught up.  We're just doing the hamsters on the wheel thing for now.
