We're feeling pretty good about some progress around here.
Kaylee's online driver's ed course is done, and we have the certificate and email to prove it. So tomorrow evening she should be a licensed driver. :)
The Explorer is home with a brand new engine. Steve says it purrs like a quiet kitten and runs great. He cleaned up all the stuff and is ready to hand it over to the newest official driver in town.
We got our first couch seat into the Suburban and out to a guy who is willing to recover and repair it. If he does a decent job, we'll save our sectional leather couch and have it back looking as good as new! My old seat was the worst, so he's doing that now. It should take about 2 weeks to get back, they think. Steve said he told the guy "This was my wife's seat" and the guy said "What did she do to the arm-rest here, set it on fire?!" Pretty much, why? lol So that's exciting, and finally some progress on the couch situation too. After my chair is Steve's, and after Steve's, maybe this stand-alone recliner. I'm pleased!
Tomorrow I head to Sylacauga, Alabama. I have to look that up every time I try to say where I'm going. I don't know where it is (other than the general direction of Alabama), there's nothing there, and they have a 1976 courtesy van, which the guys I'm flying down are using, so I won't have access to food, either. I'm going to try to pack a sandwich or something tomorrow. The weather is pretty low and rainy both here and there. I guess it's about time I shot a nice low approach or two again. The afternoon is calling for maybe a line of thunderstorms, which is super "funny" for February, and of course there's ice in the morning, and rain all day, and low IFR. So it's a good fun solid day of work. I'll probably earn this one. ;)
So anyway, there are several positive progress reports for today!
