Sunday

Yesterday I got a text from Steve: "I'm sitting right seat.  In your Explorer!  She's just singing along to the radio."  So it was a milestone--the girl drove with her dad, and she did great, and he did great too.  lol  Today she didn't want to drive with both of us in the car.  Not sure what the difference is, but maybe she feels ganged up on or something.  :)  She's doing well though!

It was a Sunday.  So Steve worked outside and ran a few things, we took Kaylee to youth group, and then he and I pulled out the T-6, and I put him up front and I did all the flying from the back.  My first wheel landing went well.  My first 3-point landing wasn't really a 3-point, but close.  Second wasn't bad, just a touch high on the level off.  Third ended up just shy of the 3 point attitude but not bad.  At least I was straight and not behind on anything on them.  There was a slight crosswind, but not enough to make me do a whole lot.  I wouldn't be up for a gusty or large crosswind from the back yet.  But everything else is feeling a little  more normal.  I just need some time back there.  I have a stranger coming up to do a T-6 checkout next month, so that's why I'm pushing a little.  Instead of riding in the back and saving or talking through something for someone else, I need to actually do it myself a little bit here.  Yesterday being one of the first times I've done it, for a check flight, was not the best scenario, but today I was a lot more caught up on it than yesterday.  Wish I could have known it was coming and done this practice flight before the test flight, but...I can't, so oh well.  I still got it done...

Didn't sleep last night, so I'm tired today.  Looks like Texas is getting nailed but I haven't had the TV on to see for myself, just saw it on various Facebook posts.  Kaylee is going to Puerto Rico this next summer with her youth group for a mission trip.  It's one week.  Should be fun.

Night...
