Kay

Kaylee was still sick today, and we called in school and kept her home.  It didn't rain like it was supposed to, so the flooding went down, roads were okay, school was in session.  The bad news was that she missed an Algebra test and a field trip with the Marching band.  She felt bad most of the day but at least stopped throwing up.  She seems to be feeling better this evening.

Tomorrow she's supposed to go to Purdue and do a contest thing for English for school, but I called that off.  Even if she's feeling better, which she only partially is, she can't spend a whole day doing that right out of the gate here, she needs some recovery time.

I had a bit of a headache most of the day, felt a little off, but not overtly sick.  Had a nice lunch, stopped at the store for groceries for the sick kid, then came home and didn't do much else the rest of the day.  No flying, too much wind, and I didn't feel like it anyway.

Kaylee wanted a new Midnight Mint Mocha Frappachino from Starbucks  The more I thought about it the more I wanted one too.  Finally around 8 pm I gathered up my wimpy self and drove out and got one for both of us.  It was worth it.  Delicious.

People on Facebook...I'm starting to wonder if there's something I say repetitively and annoyingly.  One guy always talks about how much he doesn't trust radial engines.  Everywhere he posts, he talks about how one quit on him, how unreliable they are, etc.  Constantly.  Another guy posts everywhere on all sorts of boards how he flies single pilot in a Phenom now.  If I'd have known it was such a big deal to fly in the flight levels all by yourself, I'd have realized how much cooler I was than I knew.  He uses that as his "I'm so great" post, all the time.  A third guy has a whopping 400 hours of flight time and is right now at Citation Type rating school.  He's made about 100 posts about it so far, and today when somebody called him a newbie he said "I'm at Citation 500 Type school, when would I not be a newbie any more!"  I'm going...400 hours?  Really?  I'M still a newbie compared to a lot of people out there.  You're not even on the radar yet buddy.  So I'm just taking a look over what I post and wonder what I'm that annoying about.  lol

Kaylee is on a fight on Twitter.  Some people are picking on her friends, attacking them for their Christianity.  She wants to unload on them.  But they go to her school too.  She's trying to decide what she needs to do.  I don't know.  You want to stick up for your friends without making a public spectacle.

Here are a few photos of me and a young man in the Champ.  I thought some of these turned out nice.  There are also photos of the flooding at Glenndale, but I don't have time or the inclination right now to download them, edit them, then put them back up here.  Yet.
