It was our non-stop day. Steve had students and when he didn't he was working on Indy 500 stuff (and everything else). Kaylee, after school, worked all afternoon/evening on making her campaign posters and on baking cookies. She had friends come over for a little while to help. I had flights from 8 to noon, though we didn't get started until 9 thanks to low hanging clouds and bad visibility. Then the break for lunch was followed by flying 2-4, 4-6 and 6-8, with me running late from the first flight on. Steve's flight ran a little late putting me about 20 minutes late, which meant I didn't get the Poker Run boxes delivered and get back in time for my 4 pm, who waited for 25 minutes, and we flew and did what we needed to, running late for Steve's next guy, and my guy who was sitting waiting in the other hangar. I didn't even have time to go to the bathroom this afternoon, it was hop out of one and hop into the next. Got a lot done though. Got one guy checked out officially in the PT, got another an endorsement to do repeat solos to Muncie to practice for a practical test coming up, got another guy to talk to a tower, deal with a decent crosswind, shoot a couple of practice approaches, and get poker run boxes delivered, got another guy comfortable and starting to relax and get it on a checkout in the 172 towards a checkride, and did checkride prep with the last guy for Private as well, which went very well. I got home sometime after 8, sat for a little while, then spent until 11:30 pm making cookies, baking cookies, cleaning up the mess in the kitchen from cookies. We should have made about 120 cookies, which she says is the absolute minimum, and I said we have what we have. Steve stacked 'em and Kaylee worked on her posters. She's still working on her last poster. She ran out of ideas.
Now I'm tired, heading to bed, as I'll be up at 6 to head to St. Louis. I'm hoping I'll get back in time to fly with a student who is really close to solo, and then go to an EAA/Squirrels meeting at 7 pm right after I fly with him.
I added in some logbook stuff and found that I passed 9000 hours in the PT. That'll work, it's more interesting than the C-172. I want to be flying something fun when I pass 10,000 hours. :)
Night.
