Kaylee is quiet, down, and subdued, but working on it. Steve and I were gone all day, and she had the house to herself to read books, watch some shows, do whatever she wanted in peace. She doesn't know yet that she has a dental appointment on Monday, so that'll just make her Monday. First day back at school in the singing group class and dealing with that, then going to her least favorite place on earth-the dentist. She doesn't have anything wrong, just a cleaning, but it's so hard to get into these days you have no choice but to do it during school hours.
My morning started early, up shortly after 7 this morning to drive down to Sheridan to do CAF ground school for the PT-26. It started at 9, and lasted until almost 2 p.m. I had to take an open book quiz, and a second "closed book" quiz, and answer a third question on emergency procedures. I picked up a couple of good things actually, that I'd forgotten.
At 2, I drove through Wendy's and brought Kaylee some lunch, checked in with her, then went on out to Kokomo, where we spent a nice day with open hangar doors, blue skies, light winds, and bright sunshine. Finally at the end of the day Steve had a lesson, and I took up the Cub for some takeoff and landing work. I've spent so much time just doing or saving an occasional landing from the front seat that I just hadn't done much actual flying in it from the pilot's seat. So I did probably a dozen landings or so, just working on a couple things. I have a bit more to do. Weather and life permitting, I'll do a little more of it tomorrow. After I get gas.
Steve and I ordered some carry-out from Pastarrific, and thus concluded a lovely day.
