Once in awhile I try to come up with something clever, but all I'm left with is "Saturday".
I flew with a new guy this afternoon, a checkride prep guy right after that, and then took the T-6 over to Muncie with Nathan as the chase pilot in the Aerostar. I did get a smile out of seeing our two shadows close together on the ground. I actually haven't flown formation in coming up on two years, but I didn't have to do the work today, Nathan did, so that was easy enough. ;)
Steve and I went to dinner afterwards, and Kaylee just wanted to stay home. I brought her some pasta and some lemon berry cake, which she loves, but she was still sleepy and ready for bed when I got home so we saved it for tomorrow. She has been on a pasta kick since she got home. I felt kind of bad about it, so I got a couple of different pastas. One I made was a three-cheese tortellini with a pesto sauce. She and Steve both really liked it. The next was a shells with cheese, broccoli, etc. It was just dried in a bag, add water and cook on the stove stuff. She liked that okay too. I felt bad because she basically is craving Italian pasta and I am not an American chef let alone an Italian one. But I'm trying to at least help fulfill the craving, giving her different things to try, and she seems to like them okay. I saved half my Pastarrific pasta for her tonight, and she'll like that too.
I have stuff to do. Tomorrow is a rainy Sunday, so I'll see if I can get it done.
