Rain, wind, thunder, hail, 55 degrees, we had very spring-like weather for Groundhog Day. I didn't mind it, except the wind was very cold. Ran up the 340, found myself more nervous sitting in an airplane than I'd been for a very long time. We were looking for an oil leak. The first attempt of looking right after I shut down, didn't work, so he needed to stand there by the engine with it running and watch while I ran it. I said "You're going to be careful as heck and not forget about that spinning prop right next to you for a single second, right?" One trip, one step the wrong direction, I know mechanics do that stuff, but it definitely made me twitchy. I had my fingers on the mags just to make myself feel better. :) He found the leak, so that was successful at least.
I added a gallon and a half of oil to the T-6 today too. I only mention that because it still sounds odd to say "gallons" of oil to me. Otherwise I have no point.
Kaylee didn't have a very good day today, she got stressed out over Geometry, and she's losing her All A's streak with that class. I didn't have all A's in school all the time, even though I probably could have. Math was my weakness. She's way better at math now than I was in 9th grade. Anyway, hoping she has a better day tomorrow.
