Cold Snap

Don't feel so well today, so this will be shorter.  The weather worked out for me to be able to fly at 10 a.m.  It was 8 degrees, all right, nice and chilly, but the plane was preheated, I parked my car as close to the hangar as possible, layered up, and survived. We did a few fun things.  I made her balloon up on the flare, engine outs, bounce recovery, go-arounds, final steps prior to soloing. I think maybe two more flights and I can cut 'em loose.  Another one of our CFIs took a guy up in the Champ this morning.  I about slow clapped for him when I heard that.  He's welcome to it.  It retains no heat and is terribly hard to keep running when it's that cold.  In fact, I wouldn't have even messed with it.  So I guess I'm getting old and not as hungry as I used to be.  I'm okay with that, too.
