Hump Day

I was supposed to fly from 8-10, 10-12, 12-2, and 2-4.  Instead, fog took out the 8-10, and Steve took his own 12-2, so my day went from very full to very reasonable.  Steve spent the whole day working on computer issues, and didn't get home until close to 8 pm.   Kaylee has practically been on vacation here without band practice in the mornings and evenings.  :)

I didn't feel well most of the day, and come to find out, neither has Steve.  His dad just had a procedure to help with his eating, and hopefully that has and will continue to help him feel better and be able to eat like enjoys eating.

Even though I didn't feel the best, I felt good enough.  This week may be one of the last nice weeks we get for the rest of the year.  As depressing as that thought is, and it really, really is, it made me more depressed to consider not doing anything with it.  Tomorrow it's supposed to rain, Friday's busy,  Saturday's busy, and it starts getting colder again, so I thought this was it.

After I got Kaylee home, I went back out to Kokomo, moved a torn-apart C-150 out of the way, tugged out the T-6, put in my ear buds and music, and flew for about an hour, right at sunset.  I flew by Glenndale, I climbed up and did a few aileron rolls, flew over Nathan's house, and just watched the sun go down.  While it was still light enough for me to see the pins in the gear, I did a couple takeoffs and landings, hitting wheel and three-points, rather satisfactorily, turned on all the exterior lights and lit it up like a Christmas tree, snapped a bunch of pictures, and landed feeling much better than when I took off.   If it's the last time I fly this season, I'm glad to have hit most of the finer points.  I felt peaceful for the first time in awhile...
