We have more days of crud and rain coming. Three of us CFIs were all out at Kokomo this morning, all with students to fly with. Ty got in the air and had to land ASAP as the clouds rolled in. Steve was with his guy doing a preflight and talk, and ended up canceling as the clouds came down. I was in the RG with a guy doing an introductory walk-around on systems and procedures, looked outside, saw the clouds, called up and saw it went downhill, and canceled. That was the last time any of us tried to get in the air today--the rest of the day it was rainy, drizzly, and scuzzy. So be it. It's also cold--the high today was like 61 degrees. This actually kind of felt good to me. The area is flooding again, and we have more storms moving through tonight and more rain tomorrow. It's particularly bad this season, all the storms and rain, making it hard to get anything done, so that when you do have a nice day, it's swamped, and when you don't have a nice day and have to make trips anyway, it makes you work too hard for it. Today's folks were all canceled, tomorrow's aren't looking promising either. Friday we go to Ohio for the weekend to be with Kaylee, and hopefully the weather lets us get it done easily enough.
Steve met with a new guy down at Sheridan this evening, then we all went over to Shady's for dinner, where I ate more than I should have, but they really do have a great BLT. :)
I'm still tired; I'm getting older apparently, and I don't seem to recover from lack of sleep nearly as fast as I used to. Bleh!
