I woke up at 4 a.m. with another headache, a bad one, and it kept me up mostly the rest of the night. I'd get up about once an hour and take something to try to help. Unfortunately nothing I did touched it, so I was down for the count most of the day. Early afternoon I got sick, and finally fell asleep again for awhile, and when I woke up it was fading. The timing was good, because Kaylee was going to see a movie with a group of friends, and Steve was out at the airport working on stuff, so it was good that I could actually get up and drive. I didn't want anyone I knew seeing me though--I was quite a sight, I'm sure! I had tried to eat crackers and other safe things, for strength and padding for the medication, but wasn't able to hold onto any of it, so once the headache was gone and it was time to take Kaylee to the movies, I went online and ordered a cheeseburger from Five Guys. Those cheeseburgers are huge on calories. This time it didn't matter, which is nice. I think it's kind of funny you can order your cheeseburger ahead of time and have it waiting for you when you get there. This place is otherwise very slow and I didn't wish to be in line or sitting there for 20 minutes waiting on my burger. That worked, and it was good. A little steak sauce, some grilled mushrooms, some pickles, and cheese. Yum. That stayed down great, so I had some Cheez-its and a little tea and I was back in business for the day; a little shaky, but good. Now it's after midnight, I've been lying down almost all day, I'm wide awake, and half afraid to go to sleep tonight anyway.
Steve and Nathan got the prop off on the T-6, so it'll be able to be sent off for inspection and overhaul or whatever else it needs, and will hopefully be back in a reasonable time, about the same reasonable time that hopefully the hangar door will also be fixed in. They also got a lot of work done on the Saratoga skins. Good stuff.
Kaylee came out today and said "I had the worst dream last night! I dreamed I had a really old flip phone! It was so hard to text and use and didn't have anything good on it. I am so thankful for my iPhone!" Whoa, First World Problems, kid! Hahaha! The horror of having to have a flip phone, or no phone!
I think I'll go watch a silly Discovery Channel show with Steve and try to get up the sleepiness and maybe the courage to go back to bed. ;)
