V-Day

It was a quiet Valentine's Day, and there's nothing wrong with that.  Steve got me, Kaylee and his mom different colored baby roses and me and Kaylee little chocolates.  He went out to Kokomo to help Nathan work on a few things, and then came home and cooked us all a nice steak dinner.

The rest of the day was spent doing a few things around the house, and not much else.  I worked on editing one of the little stories I wrote, as it's kind of long, but it's hard to cut it off any sooner.  I read an entire book that I enjoyed, and the TV didn't come on in the house until after 10 pm, which was fine as there was still nothing to watch on by then anyway!

The winds were howling today, the snow was blowing around in a big white-out, it was well below freezing as we are still looking at a "Wind Chill Advisory", and all in all I didn't mind not having anywhere I had to be today.  However, it is starting to get to me.  The 340 has been down for awhile now, Gumby is gone, it's been since September that I flew the T-6, I haven't even had instructional flights hardly in February, I think I've been up twice since January something.  The weather and the schedule and the airplanes all need to cooperate.  I'm getting cranky.  Fair warning.

So I'll end on pretty flowers.  Because...pretty flowers!  :)  Happy Valentine's Day.  May you have someone you love to share the day with, even if you don't spend it actively celebrating the holiday itself.

White, orange and pink on the counter...
