It might be Monday but it still feels like Winter Vacation. The ice and snow that came in last night and this morning shut down the school again today, and I had no trips or students today, so we were again home for the most part. Steve shoveled out our sidewalks and in front of the garage again, and that was a work-out for him with the ice. One of our neighbors came over with a snow blower and helped on the front sidewalk too, which was kind.
I did some household chores, and then caught up on a few things for MBros end of year receipts and flight log. That was a little more effort than I expected it to be, but at least I got it done. I hit the treadmill for the first time in several days, and you can always feel it when it's been awhile. I had to slow down my pace to get through the same time frame. I'll see if I can hit it again tomorrow and do a little better. I've had the munchies for the last two days too, so that doesn't help. If I'm going to have the munchies, I'd better at least walk, lest I end up having to redo hitting my goal. ;)
Kaylee had play practice, so I drove her to that, picked up some food, stopped at Walgreens to grab some medicine and maybe eggs, and they were out of both, but I at least got some soup and the generic version of the medicine. Close enough for tonight.
By the way, I woke up feeling fine. Whatever was making me so tired and blah yesterday didn't translate into today, thank goodness. And Kaylee started eating a little bit yesterday, but she laid on me most of the day, sleeping, and only halfway feeling better. However, she woke up ravenous today. The girl has been eating all day like food is going out of production. I'm glad she's feeling better at least. :) Kids look so pathetic and sad when they're sick--it's why I can't usually control the urge to let her cuddle when she's feeling sick, even knowing I'm about to make myself ill from it too. But like I said, she's all peppy and happy and eating like a horse again, so I think we're back to normal around here. As normal as we get, anyway. And for now...
School is on a 2-hour delay to start with tomorrow due to slick roads. Hopefully they actually get to GO to school tomorrow though. They have already eaten up 4 of their vacation days, and are left with nothing more to do but start adding days at the end of the year again and do Saturday e-learning days on the iPads. Darn these Indiana winters these last two years.
