Labored

Today was the annual Indian Hills Fly-In. Unfortunately the winds were high enough and the clouds were low enough that nobody actually flew in, but we did drive in and spend the day.  Jim had to work tonight, so it was just breakfast and lunch today, and they were out there yesterday too.  I heard they had a great fish and steak dinner last night.  Sorry we missed it, but I just wasn't mobile yesterday.  Today John D tried something different.  He deep fried the hamburgers, and hot dogs wrapped in bacon, instead of grilling them.  Now that's pretty weird, but it pretty much worked.  I think next time I'd be fine if they were just grilled again--the outside of the burgers was extra crunchy even though the inside was still normal, and it looked weird, but the taste was fine.  The rest of the food is good old home made food like always, and I ate a little too much of it.  I didn't really leave myself much room to eat much dinner, but I sure enjoyed it.  ;)

Kaylee and I took these two photos, one trying to be serious (she did much better than I did on pulling off the look this time, because I couldn't quit smirking) and one smiley.  Happy Labor Day, a day in which I did no Labor whatsoever.  I'm not happy that it's September already, but at least we enjoy this particular tradition....

Now that's a lotta pink!
