Friday

It was nice to have a day without so many lessons so I could get some other stuff done.  I got a lot of organizational things wrapped up too, which always makes you feel accomplished.

You know what   ^^^^this^^^^   is?  It's our first round of Oshkosh packing. Tomorrow morning Steve has to get as much of our "stuff" out to the airport as possible, because it's going in the Oshkosh trailer no later than tomorrow, and whatever we don't put in that trailer we have to take up with us in whatever airplane we have available to fly up there in, which is looking a lot like the 172RG right now.  Considering how small the RG is, and that we'll still have all our bags for the week with us, and three people, I'd say we'd be best off getting as much of our coats, towels, bedding, fans, umbrellas, etc. in that trailer as we can manage to get organized on ahead of time.

One of the organizational things I did was a Facebook Cleansing.  Some folks' accounts were deactivated, so I unfriended them.  Some folks I agreed to originally just because of who they knew and what their page looked like.  Anyone who either didn't interact on their own page and anyone I didn't previously know who didn't interact with me after a reasonable time here, I got rid of.  My wall is personal, not business or airport, it's about my family, our lives, pictures I take of places I go, etc., so if someone isn't engaged, and I didn't already know who they were personally, they're gone.  I left family members and old friends who never get on Facebook, because at least I know who they are and don't care if they read my stuff.  ;)  This cleansing was initiated by a Drama Mama who posted how she was leaving Facebook because of how badly it has made people treat her and her treat people (and then she didn't leave until she heard everybody asking her not to), so I just took the opportunity to remove her, whether she 'came back' or not, and that started the whole thing...

A young lady posted this photo on Kaylee's Facebook page, and commented on how Kaylee and several others there at camp had been there for her, talked to her when she was down or needed a shoulder, made her laugh, and helped make her summer wonderful.  We really liked seeing it, it was sweet, and I was glad to hear that Kaylee had helped her, too.  :)  I miss the little bugger!  Looking forward to seeing her next week.

Tomorrow's going to be a busy one.  Up early, off to Kentucky, home, then off to Missouri, then back late.  Sunday evening late I have a flight too.  I was kind of hoping Sunday would fall through or would be super early in the morning for once.  My Grandma Snider passed away, my last surviving Grandma and biological grandparent.  She lives in Oklahoma, but the funeral is in Kansas on Sunday at 11:30 a.m.  If my flight could have been early, I would have been in Missouri, which isn't that far from Kansas, and I daydreamed about making it over to the funeral that morning from there.  Unfortunately I won't be in Missouri until 7 pm, I can't be out there early and then be back in time, and if I could it would cost me almost $1500 in gas in the one plane I have available to do it in, which is just...ouch...and I don't have a good option on changing or dropping the flight.  I sure wish I could go out and see the family and say goodbyes.
