The day went as expected for the most part. I flew from 1-3 p.m. first with someone I thought I might get to solo if it was nice enough out, but there were three things that stopped that. The winds were gusting up around 16 or 17 and he just wasn't ready for that, there was traffic all over the place, three in the pattern at the time almost the whole time we were up, and then the aerobatic box became active with the guys doing routines in our traffic pattern. We could have landed, gotten gas, gone to Marion, etc., but it wasn't worth it. Round two from 3:30-6 p.m., it was getting a little gustier, but we went out and beat up the pattern at Marion for over two hours. It was a day filled with takeoffs and landings. Like...25 of them in one afternoon. That's a lot of takeoffs and landings. Glad I'm going somewhere tomorrow, even if I wish it started later. Nobody should be arriving on the south end of the country by 7:30 a.m. ;)
Kaylee is at a church function with a friend, after getting her homework and room done. Steve worked on a couple airplane things out at the airport this afternoon after flying once. It wasn't a day off for anybody, but that's okay, because at least tomorrow's just Monday, you know, the start of a busy week. ;)
