I'm sleepy.
Kaylee is definitely fighting something off. She was supposed to go to the airport and interview Nathan with 25 questions, but instead I'm having her stay home and sleep as much as possible and drink water and hopefully kick whatever this bug is before her upcoming week, which is going to be SUPER busy with her play opening and late night practices every night (and a performance tomorrow for her advanced acting class). She's been plowing through so far, but she does not feel well. At all.
I see the ground. Grass. Dead grass, but still, grass. My driveway again. The snow has melted off to a large degree, and you can see something besides white. This is nice. However, we do have a new Olympic sport in our town, particularly on the back residential roads. It's called "Pot Hole Dodging". Seriously, there are some big, deep, ugly pot holes out there, and sometimes they sneak up on you, or cover so much of your lane that if you can't go into the other lane, you're in trouble. Driving home requires speed, agility, a helmet, and a little luck. One road on my way home is so bad you have to ride in the middle of the road to not take out your tires, and if someone else is coming and won't scoot over, you have to stop in the middle of the road and wait until they pass so you can go over into the other lane, because you can't hit those holes and expect to keep driving. Even I've had to slow down.
Tomorrow I fly all day and so does Steve, and I'm sleepy, so I think I'd better go do something about that. I hate to on a Friday night when I want to relax a little, but mostly I just want to go to sleep...
