Monday the 13th

Somehow "Monday the 13th" seems scarier than "Friday the 13th".

Kaylee did pretty well for getting up before noon for the first time in 3 weeks.  I sent her to school with a plastic fork and a Tupperware container with a small piece of the cake we made yesterday.  Steve took her to the bus, and on the way he mentioned that she seemed pretty cheerful.  She said "I have cake, dad."  As soon as she got on the bus, she ate her cake, and was quite happy about it.  So I sent my tween back to school loaded with sugar.  You're welcome, school.  ;)

My morning flight canceled, he didn't like the winds.  This worked for me because I didn't have cake for breakfast and I didn't sleep well the night before.

I helped Kaylee with her math homework, successfully even, then had to type up notes, format a document and write up something for my school board meeting tonight, then go to the meeting which lasted for over 2 hours, discussing such fun things as finances and pricing schedules.  I got home around 8:30-9 pm, enjoyed Blacklist, caught up on the internets, and hopefully will get some sleep here...

And thus concludes fascinating Monday the 13th.
